Essential Question: What types of connections can we make when we read literature?
Aim: How can we interact with the characters in our books?
Do Now: Who is your favorite character in this book and why?

Classwork: Write a letter to one of the characters in the book Inside Out. In this letter, express how you feel about their actions and why, what you think they should have done differently, and what you hope for them in the future. You might want to consider giving them some advice as well as offering them some sort of alternative for the actions they chose to take. This letter is due at the end of the class period. Be sure to include the proper format for a letter including a heading and salutation. The letter itself should be a minimum of three paragraphs.
